I am Daling Shi, a PhD student in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Florida under the supervision of Dr. Yijiang Chen.

I received my master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University (BU) and bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Hohai University (HHU). Previously, I worked as a research assistant in the BIT Lab at Boston University under the supervision of Dr. Dokyun Lee. I had also been a research intern in the Computer Application Technology Lab at Hohai University, advised by Dr. Jun Feng.

At UF, I previously worked under the mentorship of Dr. Qianqian Song on projects involving clinical prediction, electronic health records, and real-world clinical data. My research interests include artificial intelligence and machine learning for biomedical and clinical applications, particularly large language models, AI agents, and AI for science. Applied causal inference and real-world data to evaluate treatment effectiveness using a target trial emulation framework.

Multi-Agent LLM Framework Development for Paper Ideation

Developed a multi-agent system using CrewAI to generate new research ideas from literature reviews and keywords.

Data-Driven Analysis of AI/ML Labor Mobility and Heterogeneity

The project explores the labor mobility of AI/ML researchers from academia to industry and examines the heterogeneity among knowledge producers in AI/ML research.

Flood Forecasting of Small and Medium Rivers Based on LSTM

Developed an LSTM-based model to improve rainfall-runoff and flood prediction, by using large-scale spatiotemporal data to improve predictive accuracy.
